Forums - Gaming Discussion - Dragon Age Expansion Pack Announced

I'll pass. DLC is an over prices rip-off for this game. Wardens keeps was 560 points for an hour.

I feel sorry for console gamers when it comes to Dragon Age. Via Steam you can just buy the Digital Deluxe version of the game which has the Warden's Keep and The Stone Prisoner included. The digital deluxe version costs just about the same price as the standard edition on 360/PS3.

Some retailers have listed he PC version as being $30, so now I'm really confused.

If I can get it for $30 I will, hoever if it's $40 I'll just pirate it and then grab a copy hen it's down to $30. No expansion can be worth near $50.

Depends on the size of it. If it's almost new game then yeah. If it's only 5 or 6 hours then no. The Warden's Keep would have been underwhelming if I had to buy it seperately. The Stone Prisoner was well worth it. Shale and the content comes along with Shale is pretty expansive.

I heard it's 15 hours, with 4 new possible party members. Along with new spells and abilities, plus alternate choices, you could probably get a lot out of it.. plus the trailer makes this campaign seem really epic!

Apparently it was $30, but it got bumped up to $40 =(

Well I can assume that maybe they don't wat people to pay full price because they are uing the same exact engine. That means the campaign better be another 90+ hour ordeal and nothing less. I paid $50, so I want about 4/5ths of the original in this expansion so maybe not 90+ hours if they update some visuals, but sure as hell about 60. Anythign less and then it's piracy and a waiting game before i spend money on it.

Yea, see? 15 hours is not worth $40, more like 25-30 dollars and no more.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

If you play a human male noble, you can marry Anora and become King of Ferelden.

@Vlad

$40 for 15 more hours of gameplay does seem steep. $30 would be more appropriate IM but I did pay $60 for Arkham Asylum and its a short game that you pretty much are done with after completing.

But at least Batman also comes with new graphics and the whole cocmbat system. What would the expansin come out with? The original $50 bucks got me the entire story, all of the graphics, the combat system, and the audio. Since it's an expansion I'm guessing that the graphics, combat, and audio will be mostly the same. That means the story better be a large and intricate as the original, otherwise it's not worth its money. I'll eventually buy it after I pirate it, just not for $40 bucks.

I'm not getting this. I'm still trying to beat the game as a mage.
