wow.... we used to play this ALL the time on the SNES with the multitap. I'm not much of a realistic sports fan, but I do enjoy arcade sports a lot.
This would be cool. But they better keep the original teams from back in the day. Otherwise I'll pass.
Nintendo still doomed?

Sounds cool, I can't wait to see what the details will be for this. I hope they bring back the original announcer. My favorite announcer quote from back in the day "Is it the shoes!?!"
Smeags said: Haha, this was the only sports game I ever played on the Genesis. Loved it to death, especially when flying across the court while on fire... only to slam it down to the acclaim of the announcers. As for this Wii-make (heh... Wii pun), I won't be holding my breath. Who knows, there's always the chance we can be pleasantly surprised. |
Have a little faith. EA has some killer sports games on the Wii, you know that.

hangtime and tournament edition were awesome, i'm gonna give this a try. I wish it was wiiware and 2d though. The 3d jams were beyond awful.

It's true. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is the last sports game I bought since NFL Blitz 2000 on the N64 (and yes, the game is awesome).
Still, their Basketball offerings have been somewhat... lackluster compared to the other sports titles that they offer. But... with the more arcadey approach as seen in Jam, I am somewhat optimistic that they can deliver a darn good time. We'll see.
Sephiroth357 said: Michael is a douche bag. I don't know what gives him the right to remove himself from NBA games ever since 2003. Whats next Kobe Bryant removing himself from NBA games. Grew up Jordan. I never knew Shaq had two of these machines. I wonder if he still takes them to games in Cleveland. It seems I won't be making this purchase as I don't have a Wii. |
Michael is the greatest player ever.
He doesn't play basketball anymore and doesn't have to be in any games if he doesn't want to.

He's on fire!
Boom shakalaka!
I'm sold. I'll just cross my fingers and hope it's at least 80% as good as the original.
