Forums - Nintendo Discussion - FFCC: The Crystal Bearers doing not so bad in NA sales wise?

Not too bad...

Still somewhat disappointing since this looked to me like a genuinely strong effort until reviews and impressions started coming out.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

The launch was all over the place, since it was stealth launched early at loads of places. I wonder if these sales count those as well?

It's difficulty will be in accruing good word-of-mouth, and the luck of multiplayer (except in those small instances), is definitely going to be harmful in that regard

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Not bad indeed.

Let's see what legs it wil have.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

bomba, game was in development for over 4 years.

pretty good

The idea for the game was formulated years ago in 2005, but actual dev work didn't occur until February 2007.

As for the sales, don't be surprised when it is adjusted downwards. I find it hard to see that it tripled its preorder numbers. Legs won't be pretty either....

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Not bad at all when you consider that it was only available at GameStop at the time..

Nope. The game was in development and then the original design was scraped and they started over. So it most likely was in development for around 2 years. None of this 4 years crap. Most likely they only had a small team on the game anyway so it's not like Square-Enix broke the bank on the game. I have no doubt the game will make back the development cost once it's fully released and all sales are counted.

I'm pretty sure NPD will have it below 20k.
