this is funny it is exactly what people think in gamekult :

despite the bugs (from their preview), despite a full QTE game, the game :

"grabs you by the neck and seemingly drops you down a botomless barrel for the entire trip"

I have seen the videos, It looks pretty fluid to say the amount of amazing graphics it is producing. I think this is a niche game, that not all people will enjoy, but I sure will

Did you just say you're letting forum posters influence your opinion of this game??? You do no that at it's core this is a point and click adventure, right??? OF COURSE it's going to look a bit boring to most people JUST WATCHING it.

You should all have high expectations of this game and start hyping the game now.
Heavy Rain could be a system seller alongside FFXIII, God of War 3 and Gran Turismo 5 and every other PS3 exclusive game that has been released and will be released in the future.

Heavy Rain looks unique and different and it could be something really big.

If this game was on XBox 360, I would be hyping it as as a ptential GOTY and system seller.

Gamekult have dissed this game. They do not have a good track record in regards to judging quality games.

Obviously some people wont like it, but you have to understand that this isn't going to be like Call of Duty or Halo. It's going to be a game with a heavy focus on the story and the characters. If someone doesn't like it that's fine, but I don't think people should hate the game because it's different.

Indigo Prophecy was good, but it had some issues with it's story in that the supernatural element starts going way over the top around half way through and the ending is rather poor. Also, the 'simon says' QTE's can go on for WAY too long at times

I think Heavy Rain will be a great game, that's my most anticipated game this year.

But a system seller ? No, I don't think so. It's more a niche game, I highly doubt it will sell millions... I hope I'm wrong though, people like Cage who tries to bring something new in video games need more support.

Plus I'm French and that's the only meaningful French game since Rayman or Raving Rabbits. :p
