They're probably pretty jealous. Halo 3, MS' biggest game, doesn't even come close to most of the top selling Wii games. I wonder why Wii games always seem to have such long legs.

I suppose some would put it down to the "casual" element. Those who don't rush out and buy the games on day 1 but instead hear about it through word of mouth from friends, neighbours etc. I personally believe they are what Nintendo call bridge games, that appeal to eveyone and they are damned near right by the looks of their sales.

You see, New Super Mario Bros Wii is breaking records now. This will be the first game of all time that will sell over a million units for about 7 weeks, or maybe 8! There are actually shortages in Japan, so you might see a boost on the 8th week.

It will be tied between both games. But I'll vote for Mario Bros.

NSMBWii is putting up otherworldly numbers and breaking records; but Mario Kart Wii has had a big head start, still is putting up really good numbers, and won't stop selling soon.

I'll have too wait too se what bros does after the holiday season and what sales settle down too.

I voted New Super Mario Bros. Wii because I think 2D Mario plays to everyone just a tad more than Mario Kart. Tough to tell, though. The great thing about NSMBW selling so well is that we shouldn't have to wait another 15+ years for another 2D Mario game.
