360's 5th xmas period.................. impressive numbers for a console with no cuts in a long time and an "alleged" poor line up last year.

I expect HUGE things from microsoft next year in both retail and XBLA games.

That was the quiet before the storm.

Bottom line_______________________________________

What the hell are you talking about, The 360 is all about price cuts and deals.

And the ps3 has already used its get out of jail for free card far earlier than they had hoped this gen (PS3 slim) due to the 360's great numbers last year.

So your point is?

Lmao!

"get out of jail for free card"!?

It is yet to hit $199, or even $250... And it's touching 1 Million sales in a week.

Im sure Sony have a few more "get out of jail for free card"'s up those sleeves.

Im sure they do, but the slim was usually used to keep sales plugging along long in to the lifespan of the ps2, its been used much earlier this gen due to sony playing catch up, and with expensive devices inside the ps3 i don't forsee anymore price cuts anytime soon.

360 on the other hand can drop the price almost at will.

360 to take hardware sales over PS3 in 2010.

Bottom line_____________________________

Playstation 3 got adjusted down last week, so it did NOT top 1 Million...
Wii is insane! But it'll drop year after year from now on.. same with 360.
Ps3 will hit it's peek this year.

Dunno, there are some big titles left from Nintendo for 2010. Since 2009 was fairly lackluster, expecting YOY in 2010 to be greater than 2009 isnt out of the question.

As for PS3, remains to be seen, there is a solid library for 2010, but their big system sellers are out now, and the price cut added in. Should be interesting in Nov to see how the YoY for the Slim is.

Where have Sony called the new PS3 the "Slim"? Hint - They haven't.

Sony could quite easily slim down the PS3 again, along with plenty more pricecuts to prolong the life of the console.

No it can't. MS want to make profit on it, and board members wont be happy with constant cuts to the machine. Plus, a cut before Natal releases would be dumb... And wont happen.

Maybe. Nobody knows...

ouch, nintendo is a beast, they destroyed all their competitors!! very good numbers for ps3 (thanks france, germany, spain and japan) and ok for 360 (thanks USA and UK)...

Okay I just checked

Wii's second largest week ended on December 20, 2008. This week topped it by nearly a hundred thousand.

Wii set a new personal best! .....This may be a best for any console that connects to the TV

99% Positive it has beaten PS2's biggest sales week.

Pretty sure they did that in 2008 so I think you are right

It did but got adjusted down, so this might be the new record until adjustments.
