problem is I think ppl think this going to be " back to Roots Megaman 9 styled game" .... The game is going in 2D yes but back to Roots who knows, like I said above Its gonna be like SONIC ADVENTURE Series in 2D, cutsences, videos Xxtra modes, Gallery, you know whole deal the come with every SONIC game, plus the actual game itself.

The third parties just don't get it.

Sega right now seems to be in anti-Wii attack mode -- even though 7 of its 8 million selling console titles this generation have been on the Wii (the eighth was bundled with Xbox 360s last Xmas -- Sega Superstar Tennis).

Not bringing a retro game to the Wii would be a mistake -- another one by the company.

It would have been incredible for SEGA to look to NSMBW as proof that 2D gaming is still immensely popular and that they could afford to pull out the stops for this title to make it rival Mario.

But SEGA is not what it used to be.

As sacrilegious as it is to say, I would be more excited to see Nintendo make a new Sonic game than SEGA.

Honestly, I'd love to see a Sonic game that Miyamoto has a hand in.

But, SEGA seems to have this fantasy of HD SONIC OMG, so they make stupid decisions like this instead. >_>

Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Knuckles are on Wii's VirtualConsole. Konami's Rebirth series are on WiiWare, Megaman 9 is on WiiWare, FFIV-2 is on WiiWare. I hope this is too.

A non retail release would be stupid. But yea I'm hopeful. I havent been disappointed by a 2D sonic release yet!( sonic RPG was OK, sonic pinball wasnt).. so if this thing is like the GBA series with plusher graphics and tighter levels, its gonna be pretty AAA.


Sonic needs a lil spiffer story, no human kissing...I guess Id be ok with tails n knuckles.. but I'd draw the line there. We dont need anyone else. Not even amy. Robotnick is pretty kick ass.. waay sicker than bowser..

And maybe they'll finish the year with an unleased 2 sans the werehog levels!

Sonic should have story as minimal as possible, something like NSMBW.
