I'm at 1.5 years and nary a problem. In fact my older 20 gig is waaaaaay quieter than my newer RE5 elite, which sounds like a helicopter.

I see the trick, theres no option for "since purchase" so it forces new buyers to put 1 year. Very sneaky......

Yeah I'm at almost 2 years and it's still going strong.


HOWEVER....Like one month after I bought it it gave me the RROD.... I stared at it in disbelief so I unplugged it and re-plugged it back in....and it was FINE.

So, like I said before, still going strong! :)

Under 2 years for me. Bought my first 360 in January 2008 and it died in June 2009. 2nd 360 was obtained in June 2009 and so far no problems.

I bought a refurbished XBox 360 roughly 3 years ago and it still works.

That still makes your poll incredibly flawed.   It gives you no basis or numbrs on how many total people had their 360 from launch or from 3 years.  Just successful ones.  Which will tell you... nothing... at all.

how many RROD polls threads do we need? and how many of those less than one year are non 360 owners pressing a button.

There's no real RIGHT way to word the thread is there? Because it's not the words the matter, it's what isn't written that you both find a problem with, right? Or would it have been better if kowen or seece had made this thread?

no internet poll proves anything.  Just they way it is.


Anyway, Machina and I looked at this, the thread is fine.  RROD is not some taboo thing that noone can talk about ever, we just make sure people don't bring it up when it doesn't belong in order to troll the console.
