^ Title and Poll says it all.

What is an estimated timeframe for how long your 360 console has worked without needing to be sent in for repair, or repaired yourself. Please no anecdotal evidence of your friend's experiences because you don't know for sure.

I had 4 of them...

1st. DVD drive failed in a year
2nd. Worked for a year and then i sold it
3rd. Worked fine since early 2008
4th. Works fine since early 2009

I still own the last 2.

This is a poorly worded poll. If someone just bought a 360 a year ago they'd have to put 1 year.

making it sound like they got it from launch... but it failed 1 year after, when in reality they've had it only for 1 year.

I have a launch Core. DVD drive died after leaving Fable 2 on for 2 weeks straight, with little downtime. Still works with digital media.

I have a launch Elite. Still works. RRODs when there is a power surge, but that is common.

Never had a real RROD on both consoles. But then again, it is frigid cold, in my room, in the basement. Kind of feel left out. u___u

my 360 lasted for about 1 year and 10 months.
My brother's 360 bit the dust after 3 years.

This is the exact reason I put other. We've not had it for long, but it's not failed.

I have 2 one is a launch console which has failed twice the other a much newer model has run without fault.

The first time it failed I think was around March 2006 the second time last month. Actually the second time which makes the ownership over 4 years was actually pretty impressive. Sent the item off week before xmas and it arrived back xmas eve. I remember watching the UPS guy struggling up our narrow street thinking some lucky bastard is gonna get their parcel just in time (Had lots of problems with the weather ballsing up the supply chain) and low and behold it was mine. Which makes that door to door repair in 8 days and still no cost to me (Thats from my house in the UK to Frankfurt and back).

I know I should be angry but I end up being pretty impressed. Which is why people a recall and how you handle it is more important than the actual fault.

I have had 9 360s and all went to shit within a year. Bad luck I guess.

3 years, which is pretty good considering it was a launch system.

To actually make this poll work it would need to be adaptive. I could then give both results for my units one a glowing indictment of the improvements of the newer console the other the shaming of the original units. Of course both of which we know but funny how most dwell on the first revisions failures.
