So I am here at forums typing while my opponent chooses his cards and I strategize. I have played lots of minigames including tekken bowling back in the days, FFIX card game, etc, but Triple Triad is just sooo addicting in FF8. I forgot how addicting this minigame/sidequest is. I recently lost my Diablos card to the mayor at Fisherman's Horizon and I was pissed, took me about 30 min to get it back since that stingy mofo didn't wanna play it, but at least I finally got it back, along with some rares I didn't have like Fujin/Raijin, Elvoret and Trauma. Anyone else found themselves addicted to this portion in FF8?

Well... you kinda had to to get the best items and spells.. luckly it was a fun card game..

True, but I was able to beat the game and even Omega weapon without doing the card game on my first playthrough. Granted on my second playthrough when I was shooting for perfect game years back (I was still in highschool...damn I feel old) that's when I bothered with Triple Triad. God this brings back memories.

Damn, I've already been at Triple Triad for over 2 hours now lol. Sigh, I am a sad individual I guess hehe.

The game is awesome, once you have all the cards the feeling of satisfaction is pretty nice

Looool, so very glad someone in here talked about Triple Triad xD Let's say i'm just finishing my Dollet Mission quest and i'm already at 13 hours gameplay :P

I also have the Lionheart for Squall already, Triple Triad is your best friend in the game if you play it properly xD

Triple Triad is amazing. Wasted more than 15 hours on it.
The game is worth buying just for that minigame alone.

How the hell you managed to get Lionheart already? You don't even have Weapons Mon needed for it at that point in the game.

You can get all the items you need for the lionheart at the start of the game, you don't need the Weapons Mon to know them if you played the game before ;)

Also, I have checked up my save and I was a bit further down the game, sorry :P I'm on the Galbadia continent now, just got the Siren GF card.

To get the Lionheart at this point in the game you'll need to do this:

- Adamantite rare drop from the Adamantoise starting at LV. 30
- Dragon Fang rare drop from the T-Rexaur's from LV. 14 - 30
- Card Mod 10 Elnoyle cards to get an Energy Crystal which can be Ammo Mod to Pulse Ammo

its a shame that FF13 doesnt have any mini games....

i was expecting sumthin like blitzball or cardgame
