My grandfather was telling me about this movie but he doesnt know the name of it maybe one of u guys knows it.

Heres wat i know i about it: the movie was from the late 80s or early 90s, it took place during the mediaval times. The main character was a great archer that had a very beautiful wife one day he had to leave for many years. During the time he was gone she found new love.  One day he came back but instead of looking like he used 2 he came back dressed like a peasant a hobo and no one recognized him. Then he did something were u had to use archery and people thought he would never do the shoot put he did and they said that the only other person that could do that was, and then they said his name but no one knew that he was that person. Thats about all i know my grandpa said it was a reallly popular movie.   

Not even a single actor comes to mind? However you are in luck, that movie sounds like something I have seen before. At least the premise, I'll post again if it comes to me.

Maybe more characters or plot details could help. I'm trying to remember without success.

I believe Its either Robin Hood: Men in Tights or RObin Hood:Prince of Thieves. The difference between the two is that Men in tights is a comedy, while Prince of Thieves is Dramatic
