Oh most likely not(if you already have the game, of course). I used a different service to play AOE2 online and I was never required to repurchase the game, so it's more than likely that you won't have to purchase the game again.

I wonder if Microsoft will release a new Age of Empires for the 360/natal/whatever in the future...

i had great time playing AoE 2 and 3 when i was 7(AoE 1 was my First PC game)

and here is the best expansion pack
