I don't think Zipper generally make visually stunning games. They focus on gameplay and the community. Hopefully MAG will excel in these areas, especially the community. It's vital for the game to work well.

i dont know i reserved this game but i am not sold on it i keep thinking maybe i should get mass effect 2 instead.....
battlefield bad company 2 also seems more tempting then this right now.
do you guys think this game will be a long lasting game/ good or it will be just another fps?

I suppose that all depends on the support of the community playing it as well as the developers updating and adding content. Pulling a Valve with the PC version of TF2 would be great, but that's probably laughable nowadays especially on a home console :P

I'm pretty sure it will be long lasting - but it may turn out to be somehwhat excusively so.
A game like MAG, if it takes off at all, will end up with a strong, niche community who know exactly what they are doing on the maps and play as a team - this should give it a fairly long lifespan, however it could very likely see the game become, a while after release, harder to get into as the level is so high.
Mind you, you could argue that for a lot of popular online FPS, I just think that, with the scale of teams MAG is aiming for, this aspect could be even more pronounced than normal.
As for Mass Effect 2 I'm in the camp that found Mass Effect average rather than amazing, so at the moment I'm a little cautious about the title. I'm hoping like Assassin's Creed 2 it's a big jump from the flaws of the first, but on the other hand the general consensus on Mass Effect is that it wasn't that flawed to begin with so this.
From what I've seen on the three games you mention I'm potentially most interested in BC2 myself.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
the graphics will be chill since the game is meant for the amount of players in it and the action and enjoyment lol soo i just hope it looks pretty maybe smthing like CoD but its ok if its super fun :D
maybe slightly but not much...dont expect anything too great from a 256player online game
I do expect graphical improvements from the closed beta.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
expect small grafix updates on final release, overall considering the scale, the grafix are top notch.
the priority for a game like this is smooth online play great matchmaking, and plenty of modes for casuals. i think mag will be an ace title i cant wait to get my hands on it.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
KylieDog said: Graphics are unlikely to improve. They are the least of the games issues anyway. I'm gonna call this now. Six months after release there will be a massive faction imbalance where one faction became dominant and rather than fight an uphill battle people simply switched factions. Even sooner if it turns out maps favour someone since by the time the patch it to balance maps (if they even do) the switching/damage would have been done. Even a chance this will happen fromt he start since a lot of people are already aware of the SVER issues and wil be doubtful of the ability to balance them. |
Seeing how SVER played a couple weeks ago, I'm thinking that tomorrow might start with a large amount of returning players going SVER.
