I was sitting on my cpu and just thought of this. Can a blind guy really see in dreams or is it just darkness? Do you think that person would be kinda alseep considering the fact that he's blind and he can't see anything in his dreams? I guess it might not make sense the way I am saying it. Sorry. -_-lll If the thread is already made can you please show me it if it's not too much. The thought was bugging me so I thought why not ask somebody. lol Can you give me your opinion on this?

My Grandmother was blind, but she could see in dreams. However, she was blinded later on in life. People who have been blind from birth have been studied to see is the can dream in visuals, but results are mixed. Some claim they can, some claim they can't.

Either way I think you can guarantee that if they do have visual dreams, they would not be like ours in any way.

What Highwaystar said. If you are blinded after already having the ability to see then yes. If you are born blind or blinded very early in life before the visual system has developed fully then it is unlikely.  Even if there are visual elements to the dreams they are unlikely to be fully formed visual elements, rather just a vague mix of colours/shapes.

Why don't you ask a blind person?

I haven't met a blind person until I went to a University, and that seems like a sensative question to me... I dunno.

It would be complicated to explain so just remember that they can't :)
