I agree. People's opinion on things should never change.

When your beliefs change to benefit your current circumstances, that is called "hipocrisy."

or enlightenment

lol, no way bro.

Basically, it just proves that nobody really hated motion controls to begin with. They just hated the Wii or Nintendo. If their favorite console got the exact same technology, then it would be the best thing since sliced bread.

When the Wii does it, it's "Waggle" when the 360 does it, it's "UI"

Basically, it just shows that people are petty and their opinions are not only hipocritical, but also meaningless because they aren't their real opinions, but instead, they're just spin and soundbytes used to promote an agenda, rather than to express their feelings.

Peoples opinions are basically turning into internet commercials, because anyone who flamed motion controllers on the Wii, but loves Natal or the Sony Wand now, are being hipocritical, imho.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

How can you be enlightened by something that is a rip-off of something else that was there all along?

are you talking about the eyetoy or what?

Wii wasn't the first ever to use motion control.. they were however the first ever to base theyre entire console on it.. this however does not make Nintendo the first ever people to try this..

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5,  Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.

I am intrested in motion controls.. but only as an option as most said.. the problem with Wii is that it often is NOT an option but a requirement and I (with the exeption of Nintendo first party title's that dont have Wii in their title) dont like the Wii's games

i think the bigger problem was always to do with the motion control being the "main" and in most cases the only option

I do agree with that, I think an advanced gamepad in many cases is more suitable.

Certain Wii fans claimed the Wii-mote is the best controller for all sorts of games. Certainly I don't agree with that.

Likewise I think a keyboard/mouse control in cases is better for strategy games and point & click adventures/simulations. I think it's sad most PS3 developers don't include this option when it makes sense to support (as the PS3 supports standard keyboards and mice).

PS3 vs 360 sales

I loved the idea about motion controls this generation hence why I bought my Wii first, unfortunately 2 years of getting practically zero AAA titles that weren't designed to be played by a 10 year old meant I moved onto the HD consoles. If either Sony or Microsoft provide games that are only designed for the casual gamer market then I'll stop playing on their motion control systems too.

In summary the issue for a lot of detractors is the software available on the Wii not the actual control system necessarily. I personally think the thread should have been closed instantly though for the blatant baiting it is.

I never said I hate Motion Controls I liked the Idea I think most people had a problem with the Wii Graphics and not the motion control. Atleast I had a problem with the graphics because Nintendo was always one of the best in terms of graphics.

The Wii has some decent games (which most don't focus on the motion controls), but I am tired of the "Wii waggle" which developers seem to think creates a more realistic experience.

Wii may have been first bring motion controls to the mainstream but the X-box and the Playstation look a lot more promising. Obviously this is my opinion.

This is only my opinion.

As more video and articles about the new motion control addons to the ps3 and 360, it seems like more people are being very hypocritical.

I remember how when the Wii first came out and those same people said they hated it, yet were the same people to try and like it then hate it again (its like wtf). Some people were honest and admitted that they like the control but not the games for the system.

Next thing we see are despisers of the same motion control loving the new motion controls coming. Its one crazy world.

I completely agree with you. In fact, I'd like to thank you for making an account so you could create this thread. I was extremely angered by MS and Sony when they announced motion controls.Check this thread out, I made it when Natal and Wand were first announced: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=75422

I laugh everytime I see people talking about the Wand or Natal becoming game changers when they all mocked Wii for it's controls.

dont worry i wont ever like motion controls (or im sure at least)
