Forums - Microsoft Discussion - XBOX 360 120 GB Hard Drive discountinued?

I have a 20 GB 360 and have recently been looking to buy a 60 GB or 120 GB hard drive since my 20 GB is almost out of space.

Researching I noticed that the 120 GB drive is either out of stock or completey deleted from stores inventories. I checked the big retailers and some online stores and here is what I found:

Best Buy - deleted from inventory

Toys R' Us - deleted from inventory

Newegg - deleted from inventory

Amazon - Not in stock

Has MS dicountinued the 120 GB hard drive?

Now Playing: Crysis 2

Last Finished: BulletStorm

That's a really good question and I have no idea....but that's definitely a potential downfall of having a proprietary drive.

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Go here and put in your zipcode.  There are 3 Gamestops near me that still had them in stock, disconinued or not, I don't know:

Gamestop New

Gamestop Used

Hmm, I guess that means they are going to replace it with the 250GB HDD that comes with the MW2 bundle.

Wow is it really 150 bucks for 120GB?....I honestly never looked it up and that is most definitely madness

oh....hard drives...I thought you meant the actual system, well I guess people aren't willing to pay $100+ on a hardrive. well still have plenty of space on my 60 gig Xbox 360. good luck finding one

Its quite possible that they want to transition to 250GB HDDs at some point to 'encourage' the 60 and 20GB owners to upgrade.

Tease.

Lol.. that would be a bargain here in Europe, where it starts at $190

I bought a 120 gig and it works perfect and has 1 year warranty. I can't beleive people actually paying over a $100 for one. These are brand new too.

I think they'll replace it with 250GB. They discontinued the Pro, and they might discontinue the elite with 120GB as well, leaving only, no hard drive, of 250GB. It would be nice if they keep the price the same as the 120GB hard drive for the 250GB...
