Forums - Gaming - Question regarding Dragon Age Origins.

It seems that every time I turn on this game it connects online or something. Is this only for DLC purposes (like being able to download them in game) or can I play online with friends?

Around the Network

there is no multiplayer.
the 360 version connects to an EA server.(i assume it would be the same for ps3, if thats what you are playing on) which, i gather is just to give them control over the menu and they can post ads and updates on your title screen(like they do in burnout paradise). it also seems anything downloaded through their DLC menu doesnt actually count as being downloaded off XBL, which concerns me.

It uploads all of your stats to the Dragon Age servers. Which I would guess are at Bioware.com.

Thanks guys.
