That's nothing. This isn't even a complete list. It's just one guys complimation. PC Piracy is around 90% of people who play games.
PS2 was pretty bad too. God of War 2 was downloaded 16 million times, for example.

"Piracy SALES"? :P
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

OVER 5 MILLION illegal MWF2 downloads have been downloaded since release, almost a million on 360, over 4 million on PC.. Wii isn't too far behind in regards to piracy either =/ |
Couple quick notes.
One, is that most torrents multi-track now, ie: use multiple trackers. A DL will show as complete, typically, to all trackers you are connected to.
Secondly, thats worldwide. So people in territories where the game isnt even officially released count towards those numbers.
In other words, its still a lot of piracy, but its not very indicative of actual lost sales or even piracy in major markets. Though folks who want to sell DRM solutions that dont work, or companies that need a scapegoat for poor product performance will treat them as though each is a lost sale in a major market.
MW2 is the best selling game in the piracy zone because is on TWO platform including the PC.
That's not fair to NSMBWii
Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

So which territory exactly doesn't have access to Steam ? ( they obviously have access to internet if they can torrent it...)
