Well that's good to hear that they would like the PS3 to stay on the market 5 to 6 years. Because its hardware is future proof and not a single developer has fully taken advantage of the Cell processor yet.
I thought Uncharted 2 was well developed with full Cell usuage but to hear they didn't use it all. Just imagine what Uncharted 3 will look like! It just puts a smile on my handsome face

-developers are not in a rush to move to the PS4
There are two different types of developers out there, theres developers like Naughty Dog who thrive for the challenge, and Love to make better and better games. Then there are developers like Valve that if its not easy money there not intrested. Oh well there lose.

I don't think one man speaks for all developers...
But good to hear that Uncharted 3 is GOTY 2011 confirmed.
wholikeswood- no you are correct, but pachter, and other articles on gamesindustry.biz say that developers aren't in a hurry to move up.

IMO, once Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, and Polyphony Digital say its time to move then it is time for a new system. If other devs want to complain then they need to find new jobs. The three studios above know how to make games, and put everyone else to shame.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

^Because those three developers alone truly tap into the power of the PS3 and rarely complain. The PS3 hardware might be difficult but those three developers can prove otherwise with their projects on the PS3.
