Forums - Sales - Thought/Question HD Twins VS/ WII

Well this isn't going to be a fancy stats thread just some thoughts. When I first heard of the WII while playing street hockey years ago, I didn't quite catch what it was about but by the thoughts of it, it was supposed to be a Gamecube on steroids. Well now we see it's more of Michael Jordon over a Barry Bonds. Xbox was doing so well but in my area it had alot of hype and it was the dominant force 360 came out, but I waited for my ps3. As I've been with the PS brand ever since I was 5.

Now it's nearly 2010, and the Wii is a profitable (for producer and consuer succes) that brings in a new audience while the other two opponents hold almost 1.5 less sales. I will point out that the Wii brought in a more casual group that was looking (and found) a cheap way to fun and excersise. Cumunitivley all three consoles brought in 110 million User's to date Compared to last Gen's nearly 200 million. I still believe there 50 million gamer in the last gen and they may never transfer over until the Next Gen. So if PS360 piggy on this new trend Next Gen might be more interesting than this one.

But HD still has 20 million more sales that Motion Gamin 65m-62m. And to those saying WII is on top well I don't understand it how so, maybe as Nintendo but as a gaming tred people are still mor traditional and we see that with HD sales compared to "Motion" sales.

I think Politics would explain this best. America 08'- Democrats and Republicans fight each other on the political battlefield for President (1st place) Democrats- Have Obama- Black Change Man Clinton- Experienced, White Woman. Hillary had a chance to not withdraw and the elections would hurt the Dems' (HD twins) which is the case now where we have two parties battling for one group of gamers and Republicans (Motion) battling for another. So if he had Obama vs Clinton vs "that republcian guy" ( joke) It might end up something like this. 25% / 30% / 45%

Ironic Eh?

Think about it?

Honestly, do JRPG makers even realize how hard it is to save the world? That shit is impossible!

You do realise that the PS2 sold longer something like 40M consoles since the Xbox 360 launched right? So using the Xbox 360 launch as a start the current generation sold 150M and the previous one sold 180M with the PS1 as well and we're only 4 years in, 3 years with all the consoles.

Tease.

I would Consider PS2 buyers last gen wouldnt you as they aren't really involved with this gen's gaming so those people who but a PS2 are gonna buy maybe a PS3 or PS4 or 720 next gen.

On that not PS2 has something had 133 million sales and out of those. from Mid 06 to now it sold like 30 million from PS3 it sold around 18 million.
So they're not as big as a factor either way but my upper paragraph stands.

Do you mean 20 more million customers cause most of them are more than likely casual costumers plus Wii is still ahead the PS2 in sales month to month alignment:p

And I will point out that you are wrong. Both software attachment rates, and average playtime indicate that the Wii audience isn't playing more casually than the PS3 audience, for example.
