Yeah I was thinking of playing FFX and DQ VIII last, since I figured they'd be the most fun, but I don't think I would want to wait that long....

I loved Wild Arms 3 (probably my favorite ps2 rpg besides Suikoden 3). So that gets my vote.

It's sad that I've only played 1 game from that list..
I guess I'm just too young, since my mom bought me all the games in the PS2 era..

Well, since it's the only game I've played, I gotta recommend Final Fantasy X.
Beautiful story, great gameplay, awesome leveling system, epic CGI's. I'm planning to play through it again sometime, it's just THAT GREAT!

Of those, you should play FFX, Star Ocean 3 and Suikoden IV, and then really complete V...in fact, make that your priority

Sooooo not true. Valkyrie Profile 2 has one of the best battle systems ever for ANY RPG. It's breaks away from the same ol' FF formula that keeps selling even if it's mediocre. Valkyrie Profile is a masterpiece and breaks away from any typical JRPG story. Plus who doesn't like Norse mythology?

For those who haven't played the VP series, start with VP 1 and then VP2. The only real flaw I saw in VP 2 is that it didn't follow the einherjar stories the way 1 did, leading up to the moment of their deaths. Not to mention that it's visually stunning. Seraphic Gate adds so much more replayability but it's not for everyone since it's pretty tough. The ability customization is super extensive as well along with the equipment and its purposes.
