every person in existance have an idol, no one can deny it.

Probably true in some form, but not in the one you're thinking.

I have a grand amount of people who have inspired me in some shape or form, little or much. Hell, some of them are on these forums.

But there are only two people in the world who I really aspire to learn from and seek inspiration from. My parents. I don't have any celebrity or artist who inspire me to do certain things, I just have my upbringing. It has shaped me into who I am, and I like myself and my own ideals. My parents are the driving force behind who I am, and all of the rules by which I live my daily life, and I love them for what they have done and continue to do.

That is all

i knew someone is going to say something like this.

as for me , no its not my parents, as much as i care about them, their beliefs and ways are different than mine, its a personal thing.

what a perfect thread for Lady GaGa, today she is the definition of an artist:

and by artist i mean ART ist..

mM

Mel Torme - Most people think of him as that crooner who did "The Christmas Song," but Mel was so much more than that.  He was by far the most talented musician/entertainer to ever grace planet Earth.  Virtuoso scat singer, excellent songwriter, tremendously gifted drummer and pianist.  There will never be another Mel Torme.

Brian Wilson - A tortured genius.  Brian was hindered by his fellow bandmates who were incapable of truly grasping his artistic vision.  I know my opinion is unpopular, but Brian had more raw talent than all the Beatles combined.

Jerry Lee Lewis - He married his 14-year old cousin.  This man is an inspiration to us all.

^ Good to see you appreciate art overall leo-j, and not just the music!

Glam!

Peter also does this also even when he is with Bauhaus (his  band)

he likes to "Act" and Create images Corresponding  like the song's lyrics, for example this song is about  night life / dreams  , while at the same time, it doesn't say so exactly what it is about, it just makes you "Imagine" what it is about from the lyrics and atmosphere.

while this here is about horror fiction, you can see how they create these dark atmospheres

while this one is about Teenage boys being all "Pretty"  ( ) , notice how he plays with the mirror and that thing on his neck.

and even to this day he is multitalented

there is really a few "Artists" that really show the meaning in "ART" in ARTist .

Like okr, it's the art I'm drawn to, not the artist.

That said, my initial answer is Joss Whedon.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV) is about as wonderful a work of art as I've yet found in any medium. If I could capture just a tenth of Whedon's storytelling ability, I'd be very happy indeed.

@Severance: Don't question other people's choices. No one said: "Peter Murphy, seriously??" (though that's probably because no one except the two of us has ever heard of him)

BTW: AoiRayn made a good point with the choice of a fictional character. From now on Hobbes, the wise tiger, will be known as my one and only idol. Best character ever created.
