I'm surprised I can't find a thread like this already. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

Anyways,

Christmas - Wii Sports Resort (YAY). My sister's mom got a Wii too, with Wii play. We spent the night with a good old fashioned family christmas Wii party.

Boxing day - Despite lining up outside of future shop at 1 A.M., I didn't make any gaming purchases there (I did get a great deal on an SLR camera though). However, after returning home for a few hours of sleep, I went out and got some great deals on Madworld, Deadspace extraction, Ghostbusters, Rabbids go home and My Sims Kingdom. I'll be spending the next week checking stores for more deals too. Yay videogames!

So... whadya get?

First of all, my roommates and I finally got an HDTV. We've been waiting for a good size that was about $300, and it finally happened.

So we got component cables for the DVD player (only $11) and a universal Wii/Playstation/Xbox cable set ($20, great deal, considering the Wii-only cables I could find cost either $27 or $35).

As for games, I got Crystal Bearers (perhaps my first first-day purchase), The Conduit, Dragon Quest IV remake (all three for myself), Wii Music (my roommate wanted the game, and now it's only $20), We Cheer and Mario Tennis Wii port (for another roommate), and The Last Remnant (for my brother).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Gaming related? Easy, just 1 thing: dice! I got a cool 12-piece glow-in-the-dark dice set. It's got your standard D&D 7 dice, plus a d5, d14, d16, d24, and a die for rock/paper/scissors. (Or you can just call it a d3.) It was more those weird dice that I wanted it for...

There are like two or three threads of this already (one which I made) but both seemed to die off fairly quickly, so let's try focusing on this one!

I got a wireless GC controller (fully compatible on Wii) from a friend, and from my mom I got Assassin's Creed II and Muramasa: The Demon Blade. I also got Contra Rebirth from the VGC Secret Santa event. Pretty damn happy :D
