We'll get married next year. Anyway, every occasion, she gets me a video game coz she knows they're the things that I like most. We've been together for three and a half years already so she has gotten me a fair share of games... a lot more than I realized. I got my PS3 on June 2008 (my birthday is August). I never told her to buy any of these games for me. She just bought them by her own choosing, and I always ask her why she picked them.

Birthday 2008 - Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - she had watched me play Gran Turismo 4 for a long time, and I think the name stuck with her. I, of course, have a racing wheel with my PS2, and I had spent hundreds of hours in the game.. so naturally, this was the first game she bought me.

Christmas 2008 - Resistance 2 - she saw a video of the E3 conference on IGN of the giant Chimera level, and thought it was really cool. Then she checked with METACRITIC when the game came out, and was satisfied, so she bought it for me. To this day, this is the only only shooter I ever play.
 
Valentines 2009 - Valkyria Chronicles - she surprised me completely with this one. I wanted to play this game so badly for months, but I never had the courage nor the budget to buy it, because I heard the game was short. Of course, this game didn't get a lot of media attention, so I never thought she would ever find out about it. She doesn't have any friends or family members who are gamers. She found out about the game while scouring through THIS FORUM because I was using the internet at her mom's house to post something on here. While I was in the bathroom, she saw some of the countless threads made about VC, praising the game's quality. She never came back on this website though.

Birthday 2009 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - she didn't give me a gift for my birthday yet because she was waiting for a good game to come out. I asked her why she didn't just buy one in the store and she said she didn't see anything new in METACRITIC that she thought was good. So she had me wait and promised me that she would get me one the moment a really good game comes out. So she got this for me when it came out.

Christmas 2009 - God of War Collection - she asked me about this one, and actually initially gave me two games. The other was Demon's Souls. She told me, however, that she would only let me keep one for now, and she'll give me the other one on Valentines 2010. So I chose God of War because I had been itching to play the GOW3 demo for a long time. Anyway, she bought the Collection because of that very same E3 demo; she hates blood, and when she saw it she thought that it was an insane game. About Demon's Souls, she hasn't told me yet about how she found out about the game because she hasn't given it to me yet. And of course, I also want to play that game a lot.


Anyway.. I made this thread just to say.. she's a pretty observant lady. She knows all the games I want, without me asking.. Quite an accomplishment for a girl who doesn't play anything except LittleBigPlanet and Super Puzzle Fighter.

well my wife just give me uncharted 2 and she gave me that because i dont stop talking about it and because she have seen me go trough the first one 3 times so she knows that i loved it... you shouldnt lose that girl... she surely likes you...

She is a really good gift giver. Most gfs love to give shit like digital picture frames, which is perhaps the worst gift you could ever receive. She thinks its thoughtful because she uploaded pictures of you and her in it. Good find!!
