Jan 4th - Dec 19th Japan, according to VGchartz:

WII - 1,605,946
PS3 - 1,576,450

With two more weeks left, will FF 13 drive PS3 sales high enough to overtake WII at the finish?
My money is on Wii.

Wii, easily. The FF13 launch may have pulled numbers ever closer, but before that, Wii was flying by PS3. I think that Wii will go back to outselling the PS3 this coming week, and do so again in the following week, keeping its lead for the year end.

hum this will be a tuff call but im pretty sure the wii will win. HOWEVER. Im going to go with my predication i made halfway thru last year when i said "ps3 will outsell the wii in japan next year" soooo GO PS3 GOOOOO!!!!!!

Wii, but ps3 did great as well though. Next year, if DQ10 comes out then Wii again.

That's a tough one to predict, so I am going to say that it will be a tie, meaning that they will be less than say 60k apart from each other, which is within the margin of error I think.
