Forums - Gaming - Is anyone else not really having fun with Assassin's Creed II?

Let me start off by saying that this is not an attempt at trolling. I thought the first game was great, and it's more than obvious that AC2 has high production values and is a really well-made game. But somehow... It's just not grabbing me. For some reason I keep doing the sidequests (gathering the feathers, glyphs etc.) and I don't even know why. I just do. I think it's because they're easy achievements (albeit boring ones), and when I see an achievement that's easy I tend to go for it. I got all of the flags in the first AC, and that was pretty boring too, but nowhere near what it feels like in AC2 (atleast not to me).

I don't know. Maybe it's because I'm kind of depressed in general right now, but I'm just not feeling the game at all. Am I the only one?

i didnt like collecting feathers because il always miss 1 so i have 99 feather and cant find the last one

I was really hyped for the first one (crusades and stuff) but ended up absolutely hating it (repetitive, boring, stupid side quests like flag collecting lol), and kinda forcing myself to finish this game. Is AC II better? Cause i dont want to be dissapointed again

i played around 1 hour of the first and gave it to my mate, hated it
i am now playing number 2 and it is abit better. the clumbsy platforming is still there though

No, just you. Its a great game.

Everyone seems to think so, but I dunno what I think. Maybe it's just my general mood right now and not related to the game at all... I don't know.

I had the first one for about 7 months before I finally tried to enjoy it (I did enjoy it, though). I was tempted to buy AC II, but wound up buying an RPG. I think it was the right choice for me.
