I think the main fail about Harry Potter is that you missed a bunch of acclaimed 360 titles like Call of Duty 2, Oblivion, Dead or Alive 4, etc., and then you managed to come up with Harry Potter?
Sorry, I just found that a bit odd...

I as a nintendo fan now what you mean, but in the first year of the gamecube wasn't the same? for me the first year with the 360 was just like wii's first year *, I was playing my old xbox games on it and was still playing more on the gamecube and the ps2(that was a great year for the ps2 actually).
same as the ps3, I have gotten one but only becouse I wanted to play ratchet and clank and Mgs en God of War are hopefully going to be released as soon as possible (man at least a half year -_-).
*(only I ejoyed the wii a just a bit more but that is becouse zelda is holy to me and I've visited quite some parties this year).

I will admit that I forgot about Oblivion (though that game is only good on the PC in my humble opinion--and I do have the PC and 360 versions) but I lump things like DoA4 in with mediocre games like Harry Potter. Every system has a list of games that aren't super stars or people automatically discount because they're generic FPS, it's made by EA, it's mini games, it's short, it looks like crap, the list goes on, but my main point is if people would actually realize that just because a game isn't an 8.5+ game it isn't automatically bad.
I guarantee you that the majority that come on message boards and bitch that they are disappointed in x system haven't bothered trying any of the games except the big titles like MP3 and Zelda and maybe they've touched one or two of the minor ones like Godfather or Scarface. Because they've played such a wide variety of games for their system (SARCASM) they automatically think they are some kind of authority and think they made some mistake buying the system. They could have in fact made a mistake as the system isn't for them, but I just hate people that bitch about there being no games when they've only tried a small handful of the biggest titles.
I have 2 friends who are selling their wii's n getting a Ps3 because their bored of it
Oh yeah I'm buying my wii from one of them....lol (whichever one gives it cheaper)

Playstation 3 - 8.5 Million
I think:
You knew the graphics on the Wii were going to be less than the PS3/360.
You knew it was just "two gamecubes duct taped together."
You knew the third party developers had shunned the Wii right up and beyond the release.
You knew Nintendo was the only major company with any major titles announced for the Wii, with many minor ones developed by 4th string developer teams from third parties.
You knew the Wii introduced a new method of interacting with the games, one that would take TP developers a long time to figure out and perfect.
Given the year or longer development cycle for a AAA game, you surely couldn't have expected the third party developers to suddenly go against everything they thought and embrace the Wii and assume it wasn't a fad within 3 months of its release and somehow surprise the world with AAA title after AAA title long before the 1 year development cycle.
And I'm thinking you knew all this BEFORE you bought it.
So I guess what I am asking is: What were your expectations?
I'm disappointed by the PS3 demos. I've downloaded over half a dozen demos of retail games... and they've all convinced me that I shouldn't buy the game at all. R&C, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden, Folklore, The Darkness... all awful. The most fun I've had with the console yet is Gran Turismo HD.

Super Mario Galaxy, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Soulcalibur Legends, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, Rygar: The Battle of Argus, No More Heroes.
These 8 games are considered to be in the hardcore department and have a good chance to be really good and will be released from now until february. If there ever was a drought of hardcore games on wii I believe it's coming to an end.

Like I said before, the PS3 and the Wii are practically the same console.
"Just wait, and the console's savior will arrive!"
Brawl sits back there eating Fritos, pouring from a keg. Galaxy rides forward on a gleaming white stallion. Manhunt 2 sits there cutting his wrists.
i am only disappointed that i haven't had any money for the second half of this year to get more wii games. also i am disappointed in the level of the motion controls. after wii sports i expected games to have great super fun motion controls but a lot of games have fallen short. although some games have done an exceptional job with the control. but overall i'm not disappointed at all. i mean if you look at all the lineups of all 3 consoles one year after launch wii is easily the best. ps3 definitely has some good games but doesn't seem to have anything outstanding. 360 had oblivion and gears and that was it. wii has wii sports, zelda, re4, super paper mario (although i personally don't like the paper mario games very much), mp3, mario strikers charged, has had a bunch of games good games come and out int he past two weeks or about to come out in the next 2 weeks before the wii officially hits 1 year one of which is mario galaxy. if you actually go out and buy all those good games that have come out you won't even have enough time to play them all. only thing as far as the list of games go that i'm disappointed in is no rpg's yet other than fire emblem whish is a strategy rpg and from the review i read is basically just a gamecube game. i don't see how its possible to be disappointed unless you just didn't buy any games and didn't want to try playing any of those good games listed above or the many other decent games.
end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million, 360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million
Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus
