I think you may be right.

even if the sale does not drop in Japan at all, the sale numbers have to hold steady in NA and Other with one less shopping day on Christmas Day... that means almost 17% increase each day for 6 days during the shopping period and the last day is AFTER Christmas... unlikely

Well it is possible but not likely. Remember missing a whole day of sales in Europe and Americas and of course coming off a non holiday increase explosion in that of Japan. I mean it could do it but there is a lot of factors that have to go just right for this to happen, main one being a good supply of PS3's in each region to make it happen. Then of course selling as much 6 days as it did in 7.

But I'm not going to say it can't because it's definitely possible of happening. Sales all around could stay flat just because how this week is setup (5 days of sales before Christmas and Boxing Day which happens to be a Saturday). Stars are definitely aligned perfectly for such a thing to happen for all systems to be flat.

I agree with Blood_Tears in saying that, "PS3 has no chance of clearing 1 M next week." But I'm going to predict the PS3 selling no-less than 800k next well.

Let's see if the PS3 can make people eat crow one more time before the year ends... including myself.

u guys really need to look at charts more often. sales go downnn next week. always have every year, that was the PRIME week (the 1 million)

I predict the ps3's NA sales will be down week on week, due to shortages.   Europe should be up, however, and it should sell another 150k or so in Japan.

I think sales will look like this:

NA - 350k-400k
EU - 425k-475k
JP - 125k-150k

So a low of 900k and a high of 1,025k.

Hmmmm. Nope.
I don't think it will happen. Simply because I think the Japan sales will be considerably lower next week due to the Final Fantasy effect wearing off.

I do think it'll be over 900k though.
