Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft and Nintendo should copy this from Sony

It won best Corporate Blog of 2009!

It is definitely a good Blog. Very simple and full of great news from developers.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Nintendo has done something similar with the Smash Bros. dojo..

But it's up to each developer, I kind of like the idea they're not being forced by suggestion to do things like these. And besides, companies that run on creativity, not piles of resources and red cash, need to keep their 'easy to copy' secrets relatively safe.

Also, it only makes sense for very few games I believe. Most people either have short attention spans or they're not all in on information, so it's not that effective in terms of marketing for most games. I think it could be a good opportunity for relatively new developers though.

Totally agree. Nintendo and Microsoft should have blog for every important game they have.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

Microsoft doesn't need it as much because they have an even better way to reach their audience with Xbox Live and too much of Nintendos audience doesn't care. So no they don't need to, and the Major Nelson blog is good enough for Microsoft.

Tease.

KEwl, thanks for the link!
