Yeah, I just checked their website today and this wierd popup message appeared, thought it was a virus. But after reading the message, I nearly had a heart attack...

Here is the same message posted on the OM forums:

It pains me to announce that this is the last week of manga reading on One Manga (!!). Manga publishers have recently changed their stance on manga scanlations and made it clear that they no longer approve of it. We have decided to abide by their wishes, and remove all manga content (regardless of licensing status) from the site. The removal of content will happen gradually (so you can at least finish some of the outstanding reading you have), but we expect all content to be gone by early next week (RIP OM July '10).

So what next? We're not really sure at this point, but we have some ideas we would like to try out. Until then, the One Manga forums will remain active and we encourage all of you to continue using them. OMF has developed into a great community and it would be a shame to see that disappear.

Regardless of whether you stay with us or not, on behalf of the One Manga team, I would like to thank you all for your unwavering support over the years. Through the ups and downs you have stuck with us, and that is what kept us going.

As a certain Porky was fond of saying... That's all folks!

Time for me to go lay down and let this all sink in.

- Zabi

I've been reading manga from their website for years and now I still can't believe they're being taken down

Thank you Onemanga's staff for providing us the chance to read manga for all these years.

wow, Bleach is turning out to be a really cheap horror film atleast Mizuiro has shown to have an bare.

One piece for some reason I think Buggy has been promoted Shichibukai.

Minato Namikaze has become one of my favorite characters can't wait.

That is possible, though i find it hard to believe that they would up someone like Buggy (figure you should at least be stronger than Jinbei who, being level with Arlong, would be the weakest of the set).

At the same time, the WG desperately needs Shichibukai, since they're now down to 4, including the explicit traitor Hancock and the implicit traitor Kuma, after BlackBeard and Jinbei quit and Moria was fired.

Huh, so Garp and Sengoku are gone completely, and they are looking to replace the three lost Shichibukai, though i still have my doubts about Buggy.

Damnit, what was the message he sent? I quite sympathize with Zoro in not understanding the incomprehensible symbology of the pride-based actions Luffy sometimes undertakes.

I'd always thought Zoro to be the most understanding of Luffy's actions, so I'm thinking Rayleigh had come up with that idea.

I think we're at a great turning point in the story: a lot of new characters (or at least expanded exposure of existing ones), worlds, dynamics, etc. I really, really can't wait for the crew to gather again.

Yeah, that's what i wondered about that too. Usually if anyone is scratching their head its Usopp, Chopper, or Nami (which always makes them come off as weaklings or cowards, but i like the fact that there are a few nakama who think like real people would), but now it's Zoro whos missing the point.

I didn't entirely get that. Is he like God of the Navy or something?
