Do the monsters level up with you as you rpogress, like i grind and get my characters 10 lvls before progressing will the monsters levels in the next storyline event go up along with mine like it did in FFT for PSP?

Nope. i grinded a little bit in one of the levels (to get cash not to level) and then the level that i am in became alot easier it toke me a couple of minutes to finish.
