It's sold for 9000 yen, sold 1.55 million first week, so generated 1.395 billion yen in total revenue. Wich was the price tag of the others 3d FF to us make the comparison?

Game prices didn't go up in Japan like it did here? Either way, even if it made more revenue... it likely made less profit.
Still all considering, it did well considering how deficient the platform is compaired to the PS2. Sure FFX started off with a similar userbase... but there was also a lot more hype and good feelings about the PS3.
It seems like it will hit the SE prediction about square on the head. All that's important is that the brand wasn't damaged. I'd be surprised if we saw a FF15 this generation though. I kinda expect 13, 14... and then that to be it unless the generation is prolonged by the financial troubles of Sony and the economic downturn in general.

Well compared to the SNES FF games the price has gone down. I think the SNES FF games came out at about 12,000 yen!
Also about the price, most retailers usually discount it a little bit. For FF13, I've seen prices range from the 7,300 - 8,000 yen area. Unless you go to a really bad shop, it's pretty easy to get the game in the price range I mentioned.

From what I can find, FFXIII's retail price was 9250 yen compared to 8990 yen for FFXII. Not a clue on how reliable the sources are, it was just a quick google search :).

If you look at the Amazon JP FF13 webpage you can see the MSRP listed at 9,240 yen and then you can see the Amazon JP discount price of 7,387 yen. Free shipping and the price includes tax as well (as always in Japan).

Nope. There's no way as Final Fantasy has always been that expensive with FF6 costing much more.
Okay after a quick check it looks like the peak price of FF games was FFVI at 11,970 yen.
