Forums - Nintendo - Need help picking 10 New Wii Games

1. Okami
2. Little King's Story
3. Anno / Dawn of Discovery
4. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
5. Zack and Wiki
6. Muramasa
This is what I have so far:)
PS: What about Opoona, is it a good game?

The 10 best Wii games I have are:

1. Super Smash Bros Brawl
2. Super Mario Bros Galaxy
3. Muramasa: The Demon Blade
4. Metroid Prime 3 (Metroid Prime Trilogy would probably do better)
5. Little King's Story
6. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Collection
7. LEGO Batman
8. Mario Kart Wii
9. Dragon Quest Swords
10. Warioland: Shake It!

Pretty much all in order of my preference, though I am bias and I feel that Muramasa should take priority over any other purchase.  Both because its probably one of the top 3 best games the Wii has gotten yet and because its going to be harder to find as time goes on.

Late to the party, but: OKAMI.

Also, de Blob, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Brawl, Zelda TP, HOTD Overkill, WS Resort.

Mushroom Men!

METROID PRIME TRILOGY.

Maybe Trauma Center NB, if you're into that. You might also want to give NMH, Deadly Creatures, Madworld and The Conduit a look.

I approve of your choices, personally I wouldn't buy Anno, Silent Hill or Warioland, but that is not saying the games are bad, but rather that they are not to my tastes.

I don't know where you live, but if you're from Europe Silent Hill won't be released yet.

OK...@_@'

I was just about to leave and go to the store but now I'm confused.
I now figured that I want a Wii motion+ so now I'm thinking WS Resort
is a must but with Anno / Dawn of Discovery and Warioland: Shake It!
someones gotta go:(

So now I have to ask.....which one go's.
I leave in the US btw

I really haven't played any of the Anno titles.  And I don't know how they handle up compared to their PC counterparts.  You might just want to research the game yourself.

Warioware: Shake It! is a pretty good game, though it is somewhat repetative as most ofthe game is about clearing all the regular content quickly and then replaying the levels again to complete tougher objectives in those same levels such as completing the level in under a time limit, without getting hit and collecting certain treasure/coins.  So you might want to also research that game to see if its your kind of platformer before you purchase it.  Its not like a standard Mario platformer.

If neither of these games interest you as much anymore, I would suggest getting another title.  Probably Little King's Story or Metroid Prime Trilogy.

A Wii motion + is not a vital accessory really... so you don't have to buy WSR.... however I would happily replace 2-3 of those games with WSR anyway as it looks to be an awesome game.

So depends on your personal preference of course, but If 10 games is your limit you could swap WSR with Anno/Silent Hill or Warioland.

Though you could easily find a number of those games cheap, whether 2nd hand or bargains online... the only one you will have to pay full price for is Metroid Prime Trilogy, and ones that still have a relatively high price (at least here in the UK) are Anno, Muramasa, Galaxy and Mario Kart.

I could find Okami, LKS, Zack&Wiki and Warioland for about £10-15 here (probably $15-20 in the US)

Great list, can't argue with any of them. Although Zack and Wiki may be tough to find, and Silent Hill seems to be quite divisive. Hope you're in the camp that loves it!

The only thing I'd add is that you shouldn't overlook WiiWare. There's some great stuff to be found on that service.

Out of those two, ask yourself: do you want a 2D-platfomer, or a city sim/strategy game? There's no wrong answer here. BUT if you're really into the city-sim games, Anno is a fantastic game that will keep on providing gameplay for weeks. If you're NOT really into the genre, it's just a fun game that you'll set aside after the 10-15 hour campaign. So it comes down to "how much do I enjoy Anno's genre?"
