It's okay, and for all the people saying it's a God of War rip-off, this game seems to have the same mechanics of Bayonetta and DMC, so how is it a rip-off of God of War? Shouldn't it be a rip-off of that style of game from Japanese producers? Heck, they ALL seem to be a rip-off of Diablo series, imho, so spare us the nonsense. Seems okay, but I'm now wavering if I should make it a rental like Bayonetta.

God of War, Bayonetta and Devil May Cry all a rip-off of Diablo and Diablo II? O_o

I WISH.  I am eager to get ahold on an updated version of Gauntlet meets Nethack, complete with awesome hack and slash.

I can't believe heruamon's comment.  It is as if hack and slash act titles are appealing for grinding reasons?  Getting new loot and being suprised by procedurally generated worlds, is why Diablo is appealing, not kill a lot of the same monster.

I can't believe his comment either.

He already admitted to never playing any GoW game before and now I wait for him to admit never playing Diablo.

Diablo 2 is also still very active because of PVP. I know, I still play it.

Got a retro room? Post it here!

When Dante or Bayonetta rip the head of a lesser god clean off his neck with their bare hands then we can talk.

I extensively played both...Hack n slash games...which is how I think of DMC and all of these games...hack n slack.  The terrible conan game was in the genre as well...it's jsut a hack n slash...I've never played God of War, but from what I've seen of it...look alot like DMC...sure it might have a few tweaks here and there, but please do tell me how it's so different?

You have to freakin kidding me if you put Diablo/Diablo 2 in the same CATEGORY as Devil May Cry or God of War.  Diablo isn't hack and slash, but it has a lot of killing for goodies and XP (Borderlands does all actually).  In Diablo you POINT YOUR MOUSE CURSOR on an enemy to attack, and you hack and kill, and get stuff.  In Devil May Cry and God of War, there is ARCADE controls you do.  The gameplay is different, outside of killing stuff, which is VERY common in videogames.

You want to know what up to date game is like Diablo?  It is Borderlands, and that is boom boom boom with guns.  It is closer than Diablo, because the focus is on leveling up and finding loot.   If you disagree, all I can say is WTF.  Seriously, WTF!

demo was actually quite good, both gow and dante I are on ps3.

i might pick up DI later on, but after playing through the awsome gow collection i doubt DI will be better than gow3

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

You've "extensively" played Diablo 2 and you still call it a hack and slash and feel that GoW, Bayonetta and DMC are rip-offs of it's style?

Sorry but I call bullshit.

Diablo?

Somehow this thread just got even more ridiculous than it was to begin with.
