OT: definitly a great year for ps3 owners, glad to see ps3 games rack up alot of awards this year.

I agree with pretty much everything there except Platformer.

I would give Platformer to 'Splosion Man. That might change ina few days time though

Glad MW2 didn't get the shooter part. VERY overrated game.

I can agree with everything except New Super Mario Bros Wii not winning best platformer! I haven't gotten around to beating Ratchet and Clank yet but its a great game, but when I got Mario I could not put the game down until I beat every level and collected every star coin!! i did not feel the same way about Ratchet and Clank, it is fun but I can set it down and finish playing my other games first! It did really seam like Sony had sponsored these awards!!

Haven't played either R&C or NSMBWii, so I can't comment on that, but I prefer much any Ratchet over any Mario platformer, so I see where they're coming from, and it's great to see Insomniac keeps on delivering quality...I'd love to play that game

I'm disappointed with Sims 3 winning best Strategy...yes, it's a great game...but it's not even a strategy game.

Other than that, I like what they've chosen

2007 and 2008 failed us, but it seems 2009 was finally able to live up to the claim.

I enjoyed Ratchet and Mario about the same. Both are worthy winners.

Sheesh, even Gamespots own viewers think NSMBWii should have gotten the award for Platformer 38% to 28% with a ~2k vote difference.
