It requires the 3G S and newest iPod Touchs. Spec for spec, the iPhone 3Gs is stronger due to it supporting newer programming standards.

Edit: spec v spec, the Iphone is stronger then the Wii.

Specs really don't mean anything. In practice, Wii is a much more capable gaming machine than the Iphone.

well spec's do provide a upper ceiling that the developer can gauge from in what direction he or she may take for their software.

as for much more capable of a game machine that is pretty subjective to the person by person basis.

for example would you say the

Wii is more capable as a game's machine than the Nintendo DS?

both are fine game's machine's

is the Wii more powerful than the DS, yea no question about it, is it a more capable as a game's machine

that's pretty subjective In my opinion.

With "much more capable" I'm referring to the hardware. So yes, the Wii is a more capable gaming machine than both the DS and the Iphone when it comes to horsepower and performance.

Let's put it this way: a PC with a Nvidia 128MB 7100,overclocked Pentium 3 to 1GHz and 256MB RAM is, spec-wise, superior to the Wii. But the PC will never be able to run most Wii games.

Rumours want microsoft preparing a Halo version for Zune HD the tables can turn against apple in the future :)
or even epic can anounce that they will port that engine to Zune lol (the artcle say that they will demonstrate the engine in another device soon...)

horsepower and performance is as alway's is one of the thing's that can give the advantage to any game system, it's what each and every game developer team or house can do with that hardware is what it mainly boil's down too.

so for overall spec's yes the Wii is more powerful than the DS and in many cases more powerful than the Iphone, but as for being a "much more capable game machine" that still boils down to the skill level and experience of each developer team or house.

as for running most Wii game's with the example you just stated:

any game could be designed to run on any hardware within limit's of said hardware, of course would it be the same game?

that depend's

on how and what the software is designed to run on.

so never be able to is a very strong word, would it be as it stand be able to run the Wii software as it is? most likely no, could it be retooled to work. most likely yes. would it be cost effective?, maybe not.

there is many problem's you have to take into account nothing is as black or white, there are quite a number of grey area's when it come's to this part of the industry in my experience i have seen many thing's that have changed esp. In the computer  an consumer electronic's industry.

@gameover and joeorc - fair enough, to each their own. I guess Im a bit biased, as I had an iPhone and didn't like it much at all. In regards to gaming, I require a d-pad or at least a thumbstick someplace.

Vlad the guy in the video doesn't know how to play :)
you can shoot and move at the same time because the fire buttons have usually drag mode enabled
so if u click the fire and you move your hands u can fire at the same time while moving it's so easy

keyb/mouse is terrible for me
it was ok in the mid 90s but now ewwwww only for romantics
first keyb is digital so u are losing analog motion 2nd the mouse can make you spin 360 in ms how can this be real? this can't happen in real life sorry :)
analog controls offer a more realistic way of turning around

So then you are moving and shooting but you can't do each exclusively once you start shooting? That seems like a flaw.

If I wanted realism in my video games I'd go to the Army and shot people over in Iraq. I want ease of use and functionality, something the analogs lack heavily.

An interesting stance after all that shit Mark Rein talked about not working on underpowered hardware. They should just admit that they refuse to work with Nintendo specifically, and leave it at that. iD and John Carmack have proven to be the same way.

The controls do work in this game :)
