No doubt about it, even if you don't want it. Don't know if they like it though. It's like movie critics or movie purists, you can see it in how they talk about movies and stuff. Sometimes it's intentional, sometimes it's not. That's why we came up with the hardcore and casual adjectives if I can put it that way.

Pretty accurate. I would consider myself a "Real Gamer", I guess.

By all means, I embrace that they don't agree with my opinion.  It now means I can further refine it.

I'd say your definition of hardcore is more of a stereotypical caricature of hardcore gamers than any sort of representation. Your arbitrary distinction between the two is a bit silly, as supposed members of either group could (and do) easily posses many traits from either group. Your list makes it clear that you have an axe to grind with "hardcore gamers".

Anyway, maybe try harder next time, and stop trying put people into neat but meaningless categories.
