WTF's going on at Capcom?  They've moved anything interesting out of (fiscal) Q4 and are slashing sales estimates?

 

Here's the big stuff...

 

Previous forcast:

  • Lost Planet 2 (360/PS3) 3,700,000
  • Dark Void (360/PS3) 1,300,000
  • Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3) 1,100,000
  • Monster Hunter TRI NA/EU (Wii) 500,000
  • Total Software (fiscal year): 20,000,000

New forcast:

  • Lost Planet 2 (360/PS3) DELAYED
  • Dark Void (360/PS3) 600,000
  • Super Street Fighter IV (360/PS3) DELAYED
  • Monster Hunter TRI NA/EU (Wii) DELAYED
  • Total Software (fiscal year): 14,000,000

 

...seems they're also blaming losses on Pachinko and Arcade operations. They're also planning major stock buybacks?

That makes sense... because that was a huge flop.

 

I was hoping Dark Void would do well... I remember seeing interviews with the music director for Dark Void lasy year. He talked about how they layered tracks in order for the music to always match the tension / action you were experiencing. It sounded amazing. I haven't really heard anything about the game since. (I think the music was made by the guy who did LOST, not 100% sure though)

ROFFLE, they expected nearly 4 million for Lost Planet 2? I was going to say "has Bionic Commando taught them nothing" but with it delayed maybe they can slash the forecast (by 3/4th's).

I saw a commercial for it last night already, so the ad campaign is probably not going to be insignificant.  Given that, I'm actually a little surprised they're expecting only 600k...
