Final Fantasy XIII has sold 1.5-1.6m units from 4 million PS3's in Japan. How much will Final Fantasy Versus XIII sell next christmas 2010 in Japan when it releases.

Will it be more hyped then FFXIII? Sell more or Less? Will it get a better score (ratings)? What will its Life time sales be? What will its first week sales be?

Things to keep in mind.

• Versus is a True PS3 exclusive (meaning no graphical downscaling)
• PS3 userbase will be much larger in christmas 2010

Yeah I agree, sadly this will be overlooked compared to FF XIII, but it will be better quality at least, and should sell at least 1 million copies during it's first week.

It will break 1m in Japan first week definately, possibly first day.

I would like for it to sell more, but people are going to view it as a spin-off or whatever since its not a flagship Final Fantasy title. It also depends on how Square Enix advertises it.

I believe Square Enix was too scared to make it a flagship title since its so different, but change is good...

It depends on he userbase. If the PS3 grows another million or 2 (highly likely) then it will sell about 1.8m first week.

Where did you read that Final Fantasy Versus XIII is coming out next Christmas in Japan?

probably will be more front loaded.

i think it'll sell as much as FFXIII, because of a higher Userbase and the Quality and Scenario we've seen already.

I'm assuming he means "better quality" as in since they finished 13, they will be able to improve Versus based on that. Also it should be more polished graphically since we won't be seeing it til probably 2011.

Or maybe because of the Dev team, the people working on Versus 13 have a history for making quality games.
