This one should probably be closed too.  Mods have been cracking down a lot on anecdotal sales posts.

i looked at Amazon, PS3's are really sold out, but not in the UK and germany.. :( Europeans, buy more Playstations! :P

I wasn't trying to start something.  It's just the first time I've seen stock of a certain model PS3 low in Austin.  I was just curious how the sell off rates of the cheaper, but main sku would affect sales.

but yes its obvious sony is understocking, or retailers expected low demand and didn't order many ps3.

the only shortages here are PSP gos.
everything else are good.

this thread was just asking about whats happening, your thread is just a random online store getting sold out.

Oh I know you don't mean to start anything.  It's just the mods don't allow anecdotal evidence since none of it in any sense can ever be proven and I think they lock these threads just as a safety precaution.  I know they locked MikeB's thread to so that's what leads me to assume they are just locking any anecdotal sales threads regardless of content/reasoning behind it.

Well nothing wrong with anecdotal sales posts as long as they don't try to make universal claims. Modesty is the point. Not to mention can help members discuss local sales trends going on in their region to get a better range.

OT: At the Gamestop I work at we are sold out of the 120 gb PS3's and have one 250gb left.  Actually we are sold out of most of the 360s and about 4-5 Wiis left and a decent amount of DS's.  Actually only system we don't seem to be selling a lot and on short supply of is well the PSP.  As for the rest of the district, don't think any other Gamestops are having too many sellouts but definitely low in stock.
