Released on the 17th (so it had 4 full days), though there were some scattered reports of street dates being broken 1-2 days early.

No because NSMBW will sell over 300k and reach 1.7 m atleast, and if the preview is right it will be over 1.8 m.

So FF XIII won't probably ever outsell NSMBW in Japan considering its legs.


FF XIII will have legs too. It is bundled, you know

The bundle is limited and they are not shipping more bundle each week. That means once the current stock of bundles are sold out, there would be no more bundles and I'm not sure how that would help the "legs".



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

LTD sales are 2.41m.

Those figures include rereleases (International + Last Escape) and budgdet reprints (Ultimate Hits, for both FFX-2 and FFX-2I+LE).  Worth pointing out but the original FFX-2 wouldn't have even come close to 2.41m (it's likely 2.1m at best).

NSMB Wii sales do not yet include the FF XIII release week. With those, its sales should be at least 1.7 million.

Yeah, NSMB sales will likely increase the week after too.  By the end of 2009, it should be well past 2m and lifetime it has a shot at ~4m even imo.
