Forums - Nintendo - Having Severe Trouble (Spirit Tracks related)

It's that damned song you have to play with the Lokomos in the Fire realm. It refuses to accept anything i'm doing, even though, as far as i know, i'm doing it perfectly. I am going to be extremely pissed off if i can't play the rest of this game just because i can't blow into the goddamn microphone correctly.

Would it help if i used a more current DS? I'm still rocking a phat, and i know someone with a DSi...

Still haven't cracked my copy - but I'm appalled that Ninty decided to use the mic for a true "gameplay" control device for the game. Its a bad move in every way possible...

My phat's mic died rather swiftly so I say at least go see your friend to see if it is your DS.

I was reading a review (forget which...) which stated that for the mic sections, the newer versions of the DS (Lite and i) worked better than the Phat.

Kind of a bummer that you have to deal with this issue though. Don't give up, we're with you!

Ah, i got it.

It was being really finicky about tempo for some reason, which hasn't been the case before. I never had to follow the beat, just hit the right notes in the right span of time, not keep the proper beat within the tune itself.
