Forums - Nintendo - Why no SSB:DS?

That is definatily not why either.

That game alone would lead me to re-buy a DS (for the third time...lol)

I wouldn't give up on the idea of portable SSB for their next handheld but I think any hopes for SSB:DS should be put to rest.

P.S. Anyone who is going to use the terrible Jump games for DS as an example of how SSB:DS can work are dead wrong those games are just awful. If anything they show how a SSB:DS could go wrong.

That's absurd. Those games are fantastic, but clearly they aren't the same type of games as SSB and are a bad example. But that doesn't make the games bad.

I think it's because we already have a smash brother type like game on the ds and that is the Jump super and ultimate star series. The characters themselves are characters from Shonen Jump that battle each other in a kind of smash brotherly style against each other. Of course due to licensing issues it's near impossible to bring it over state side and such. Thankfully the ds is region free so that's not problem. : )

Nintendo published those, too. Wow.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
