All numbers include hardware, software and accessory sales. The numbers aren't accurate, but they give you a general idea where everyone stands. They aren't close to each other. |
Wait? Does that mean that the Wii would have made more profit than both the Xbox 360 and PS3 lost combined shortly? Also does that mean that the PS3 would have lost more money soon than the Xbox 360 + Xbox 1 combined? How come noone ever talks about how much of an epic success story the Wii is financially? |
yes the Wii is making alot of money but $4b is not the correct figure. The profits are somewhere around $2.5b for the Wii not taking in account DS profits.
And no PS3 didn't lose more than Xbox + 360 losses.Xbox division losses racked up from the launch of Xbox franchise back in 2001 is near $9.5b(abt $3-4b from this gen),although near a billion of it has been earned back by profits.
Abt the PS3,PS3 has lost Sony's Playstation a total of $3.5b till September 2009 because of the loss sustained on every PS3 sale. This figure could be higher if we didn't take losses recouped thanks to PS2 and PSP.
