what is the  overall profit or losses for the consoles.(including development for consoles) i know that mirosoft has been making a profit from the 360 division since late 07. and im pritty sure ps3 has yet to make a profit for sony.im not asking profit/loss for every console sold.  



Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

I think theres good one floating around neogaf and theres a lower quality one in use here that for some strange reason adjusts the totals to inflation. You'll probably have to search unless someone has the links handy.

that doesn't matter. they could sell 500 million wiis and be making 10's of billions of dollars in profit, and the industry would still be saying that their doomed.

Are you guys completely delusional? There is no end to the talk about Nintendos financial success in the industry, and on forums like this talk about how they are printing money are common. Get real, Nintendos success is well known and no one are trying to deny it.

yes the Wii is making alot of money but $4b is not the correct figure.The profits are somewhere around $2.5b for the Wii not taking in account DS profits.

And no PS3 didn't lose more than Xbox + 360 losses.Xbox division losses racked up from the launch of Xbox franchise back in 2001 is near $9.5b(abt $3-4b from this gen),although near a billion of it has been earned back by profits.

Abt the PS3,PS3 has lost Sony's Playstation a total of $3.5b till September 2009 because of the loss sustained on every PS3 sale.This figure could be higher if we didn't take losses recouped thanks to PS2 and PSP.

Wii is not $4b in profit by any chance,the numbers that nintendo releases contains profit earned by the DS.

360 has lost more than $2.5b becuase of the aggresive price-cuts and marketing to show Sony down.

PS3 has lost around $4-4.5b till September 2009,this number is just for the PS3 alone.Playstation division has earned some profit by PS2 and PSP slae.so the figure for the entire Playstation Divison is around $3b.
