Yeah, well it's really hard with a DS3 to make good turns, since the analog isn't as good as a wheel ofc, and to gas perfectly with a SD3 u have to tap the button like hell!, holding it will make u spin. A pedal is so much better.. I really suggest you to practice that G25 of yours and master it. :)

I imagine this is sacrilege among the driving fraternity, but I prefer the third person view for driving games rather than the cockpit view. Partly because I can personally control the car better that way, because I find it more entertaining to see what the car is doing in real time as opposed to watching the replay of what I've just done, and in some ways it's more like real life because it affords a closer approximation of the peripheral vision you get IRL (not to mention head turning).

But in this timetrial I seem to be stuck with cockpit view >

You can actually change between 3 views using the "select" button if you didn't already know :)

Thanks for the info. I only downloaded and started playing at midnight last night. I tried pushing every button on the controller to change the view except (obviously) the select button.

Right then, tonight the racing starts in earnest!

I'll give the G25 a whirl when I can, but I really like the DS3 ;)

But yeah, you really have to tap the X button like mad to get some proper grip on the curves xD Do you drive with the analogue stick or with the Directional Pad?

The analogue stick.. I've only tried the pad for like, 2 turns all in all, but I'm just used to using analogue stick in racing games, or all games mostly for that matter xD
