You didn't say console.  Besides, even then it's going to get beat by DQX.

You didn't say console.  Besides, even then it's going to get beat by DQX.

i recall the highest selling console rpg was dragon quest swords, around 800k. thats why i was thinking when i post it.

and Monster hunter freedom 2, already had higher.

MHF2 was only 750k 1st week btw, FFXIII beat it already.

Highest console RPG this gen before FFXIII was MH3, then Yakuza 3, then DQ Swords.  They're all action RPGs though.

And when DQX sells more in the first week, it wouldn't count since Wii has a bigger user base.

If FFXIII ends up selling 2 mil or lower on PS3, it would be the lowest selling FF game since FF7 but people would call it a huge success since it's on a 4-4.5 million user base. There are always two sides to look at things.



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

That would be looking for reasons to knock the game in some way. Don't know what your intention is, but I'm not sure of what DQX has to do with FFXIII first day sales.

I'm not knocking FFXIII, I'm correcting his false statement.  (1) he didn't say console and (2) if he meant only console, then it's still most likely to get dethroned by DQX.  Either way, he was off.

You seem pretty hellbent yourself here...
