Forums - General Discussion - Marijuana promotes brain cell growth

Marijuana is illegal because if it were legal we wouldn't buy any of the drugs the FDA has approved for us and people who have paid a lot of money to keep it that way would be very upset.

EDIT: for spelling.

Then you will be more likely for throat and mouth cancer.

It's a synthetic cannaboid similar to marijuana that is promoting brain cell growth and not marijuana.

How many people clicked on the article? Were you too lazy to do so because you were stoned?

Oh, Amp. You know details are no fun when there's a chance to argue over morality!

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

I guess marijuana isn't that bad as long as you just do it in your house or whatever and not in public. And there has to be the same punishment for driving high as driving drunk.

On another note the only way I can see it being legalized is if its government controlled like alcohol is in Ontario, Canada.

Morphine grows too in a Plant. Papaver Somniferum also known as poppy seeds. Cocaine is also a natural product it is an alkaloid from the Coca plant.

Cocaine is the best of all the drugs, it just smells so damned good.

Cell growth? Yeah, through cancerous tumors. I don't think that's the growth I want.

As for why other "worse" drugs are legal, note how they tried to criminalize alcohol. It was prohibition, and remains the only clause ever put into the constitution restricting people's rights. It's also the only clause to ever be repealed, because it didn't work. That's why marijuana isn't legal- once you do so, there's no turning back. There've been studies that claim both directions, yet I have to say that the more credible ones are the ones that show the negative effects. Potheads only look at the ones that suit their wants.

If the government were to sell it themselves and tax the hell out of it along with other drugs. I see no problem with it, I mean they let out tons of other drugs that are even more harmful just look in the averages person's medicine cabinet and read the side affects.

On the other hand, I do not like the thought on how (some)people become dependant on it. In my experience the people that smoke it do it because they are depressed(or so they claim) they can't handle life so they rely on a mind altering substance to handle the world. I do not like the concept of a group of people reliant on a chemical that they really don't need to survive. If people are dependant on something it makes them easier to control.

How do you feel about the fact that many people become addicted to their prescribed medication to handle life. Is that really any better? Are people taking other anti-depressants any more difficult to control?

@gurglesletch                                                                                                                                                                                                              There are plenty of drugs that are legal that pose the same risks the most obvious being cigarettes and snuff.  And you discount the fact that you can eat and or vaporize marijuana.

I am saying from a legal stand point, they have no reason not to. That is the wallet speaking.

Now my brain says otherwie, I would much prefer we(as a peoples) would learn that you can improve your health with activity and the proper diet. I do not like the concept of people taking over and under the counter drugs to fix their issues. If you just read the side effects you know it's not worth it. Now if you need to take a medication to stay alive I am all for that, but their are other healthier means for most illnesses)

Very true. I concur with you on most of that, but good luck getting people to be active and have proper diet. There is so many convenient and non healthy solutions readily available and it will be very hard to change the pill solution. Especially since people think doctors and the FDA are our friends and that these solutions are good ones(instead of the money signs they see us as).
