Forums - General Discussion - Marijuana promotes brain cell growth

Not sure if this has been posted:

A synthetic substance similar to ones found in marijuana stimulates cell growth in regions of the brain associated with anxiety and depression, pointing the way for new treatments for these diseases, according to University of Saskatchewan medical research published today in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.

so um.. why is it illegal

It certainly doesn't help the awareness, alertness or speech centers of the brain.

Not technically the ones, and it makes you happy?

Hmmm.

Well, I don't know why it is illegal. Really doesn't make much sense with alcohol and tobacco legal.

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

Itsudatte itsudatte itsudatte

Sugu yoko de waratteita

Nakushitemo torimodosu kimi wo

I will never leave you

I'm sure a stoner will come in and explain, in detail, how pot was blacklisted and made illegal, and why this is so stupid for 100 different reasons.

Being an ex-stoner myself, I could, just don't have the energy or ambition to do it anymore.

Blank? Blank.

A drug makes you happy thats the reason why people take drugs. On the other hand there are drugs which destroys your receptors so they are not able to connect with dopamine/serotonine=depressed. But it is known that THC plus derivates is not such a drug. THC stimulates your receptors like Dopamine, this leds your brain to create more receptors. Some Depression are caused by the lack of receptors. THC is a little bit different to most other drugs. The difference is that the molecule itself causes the rush. Cocain and Meth dont cause the rush themself they make the brain producing 10 times more Neurotransmitters then it should. Opioids are acting like endorphines themselfs. They dont cause the body to produce more endorphines. Opioids are not harmful for the body too. But they cause the body to produce more µ-receptors and if you dont take them anymore you have pain (withdrawal) because µ-receptors are against/for pain. D2 receptors are for Happiness/Unhappines ofcourse but THC doesnt stimulate the receptors as strong as opioids do so the withdrawal symptomes are very mild.

So why is THC forbiden ? Infact there is no good reason for it. THC is way less harmful then Alcohol. Some people may not know it but Alcohol is almost as harmful as Meth. (look at Alcoholics without teeths and skin necrosis)

In some Countrys like the netherlands its not forbidden. In Switzerland too.

Most people dont know that practically the hardest drugs are legal everywhere. Just tp list some: Methylphenidat=Ritalin is everywhere legal and you can get a description easily the effects are a mix between cocain and Amphetamine. Amphetamine is legal too then we have Ketamine (PCP like) Oxycodone ( as stong as heroine stronger then Morphine and equally addicting like morphine) Vicodine. Fentanyl=stronger Heroine less adicting morphine. And stuff like Oxymorphone/ketobemidone/dextromoramide (stronger then Heroin and a lot more addicting)

And dont forget in Canada and USA they even have Desoxyn (Methamphetamine).

To get a prescribiton for Ritalin/Amphetamine or Oxycodone is possible almost everywhere. Mescaline (LSD Like) is growing in the desert and can be bought as a cactus almost everywhere the same goes for magic mushrooms.

And whats with california ? I saw a report where a doctor on the street gave prescriptions for 50 Dollar for Marijuahana to everybody and the people where smoking it in front of an Officer by purpose. The reporter asked the Officer and he said he cant do anything.

smoking is banned almost everywhere and Alcohol is restricted for example in USA. There will be a time where almost everything is banned but through the Meds everybody can get all drugs Pharma companys want to push out the Warlords from the drug buisness.

Drugs where banned because they had problems with Opium and Morphine,You could buy every drug in the supermarket in 1910. But they realized that the humans are not able to handle drugs. So they made a conference and forbid everything. they wanted even to forbid Caffeine. They had no clue. Ok still the most drugs where monitored during the 1940-50-60 Amphetamine became big and LSD then came the Hippie movement and the USA made the UN ban a lot of drugs. They banned a lot more until the designer drugs. The designer drugs where always the basis molecule together with slightly modifications so in the 80-90 they realized that they have to ban complete groups of molekules to make laws which really are effective. Thats it.

Go ahead and read this to see why marijuana isn't legal.

Some effects are accelerated heartbeat, memory loss, slows reaction time/concentration, lung damage. Oh and read the part about how marijuana smoke contains more cancer-causing agents then tobacco smoke.

I'm pretty sure cancer, lung damage, accelerated heartbeat (which leads to heart attacks), etc. outweighs some cell growth in the brain.

@Coolestguy , Alcohol can cause memory loss, slow reaction , kidney/liver damage, as well as accelerated heartbeat. Tobacco damages lungs, brain, heart etc. Mariju anna is no worse.

EDIT for Coolestguyever: The damage from smoking can be avoided by eating it. The active ingredients can bind with fats, oils and alcohol.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Marijuana is illegal because if it were legal we wouldn't buy any of the drugs the FDA has approved for us and people who have paid a lot of money to keep it that way would be very upset.

EDIT: for spelling.
