Forums - Sony - BioWare's Ceo hints at PS3 Mass Effect 2, ME2 DLC - English and Polish.

Just leave it alone already. Seriously.

It's getting just as annoying as MGS4 - 360 was.

If it was coming, it would have been announced already. Not to mention the original would likely already have had a port announced/released.

If this happens, it happens. If not, oh well. Ill play on my PC either way (just like ME and Dragon Age).

Tho, Ill admit it would be a good addition to the PS3 (of 1 and 2 BOTH came out)

But what would be the point without having the first one available? The cool thing about the ME trilogy is that you carry over the plot from the previous installment!
Besides, everyone playing ME2 on PS3 would miss out on the story all together without the original which renders the point of playing a heavily story driven series moot...

Just to be clear, and I'm not arguing with you here, but there are TONS of cool things about Mass Effect, the bolded just happens to be one of the coolER things. But I agree with your statement, it's all about the story, I feel like it would be akin to watching Empire without seeing Star Wars first. "So he's his father, so what?"

It doesn't make sense that there isn't a PS3 version of ME2.... unless its somehow unusual/different from the X360 version, or MS paid for a timed exclusive deal.

Either MS paid for timed exclusivity, or the PS3 version includes ME1 on the BD disc, or something. I think the ME1 theory is a good one, since that would be a big value draw to PS3 consumers who are interested in the series, and the conversion probably isn't that hard, since they've obviously gotten their engine working well on the PS3 with Dragon Age.

So you are suggesting that PS3 owners basically get ME1 for free; thereby ensuring that 360 owners not only lose an exclusive (probably not a big deal outside the vocal minority on boards) but ALSO get screwed over on price, by paying twice the amount PS3 owners pay for the same content?

I'm not sure what incentive EA would have to pander to the PS3 audience, while alienating their 360 one.

but unlike Konami EA isn't denying it. In fact... they are saying its more than possible. So I disagree that its just as annoying.

If it gets released nearly a year later, I don't think that'll "alienate" X360 consumers.  On top of that, ME1 is dirt cheap nowadays -- X360 owners wouldn't have to pay 2x the price by the time the PS3 double pack released... heck it'd probably be the same, if ME2 was 6+ months old by that time.

This is EA we're talking about.  They want money.  This would make them money.  As the "HD twins" become closer and closer in number, it would be downright foolish of EA to ignore the PS3, with what is probably their finest RPG series.

I stand by my theory.  It may not be true, but it'd be smart of EA to do it.  I call their "incentive" by its proper name --- Money.  EA likes Money, I'm pretty certain.

Sony makes devs doing late ports add extras. Id think a full game would constitute as an extra. It wouldnt be that expensive to make a 2 year port. Thats their incentive. Alienating? how so? they are getting both games. and early. You want to talk about alienating go talk to Namco and SE

Ahh, how many times are they going to hint at a PS3 version, and still we get no news...

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

I paid 60 for ME, I'll pay 60 for ME2, PS3 owners pay 60 and get both, and both you and Procrastinato want to argue that I wasn't screwed?

In order for this to work they would have to advertise the difference, so 360 advertised as just the game, PS3 advertised as two...for the same price...

I'll agree to disagree, but we DO disagree here.

Please note, I'm NOT disagreeing that EA could port the game, so don't misunderstand my argument here, I could care less about that.

i doubt that mass effect 2 will come to the ps3. But if it did it wont be till the end of 2010 or way after the 360/PC release.
