Despite the X-Factor single being released on CD yesterday, RATM have retained their lead but the margin has been reduced to ~40,000. That's quite impressive but I think X-Factor will take it on Saturday with the mad weekend shopping rush.

I was only joking about Oasis but even if you don't like RATM you have to admit the talent they have. Tom Morello is one of the best guitarists of his generation.

I just dont like RATM's music, it sounds awful to my ears, guitar included.

Yep, I joined. I bought my copy from Amazon. Apparently it does count because they buy the song in for 40p and sell it at 29p (the song has to be bought by the retailer for 40p to count). I think Amazon are hoping that some of the sales of this single will prompt people to buy the album, which is a good way of exploiting this temporary internet fad I think.

Unless it's always been 29p. I'm not too good with Internet prices, I neither buy singles or download music. I still buy vinyl for pete's sake, I need to join the 21st century really.

First there was Pop Idol (of which now there's an American version), then somewhere or another they changed it to X-Factor for some reason unknown to me.
